The Condensate & Naphtha Forum is an annual platform for producers, buyers and sellers of condensate & naphtha for dialogue on key issues and challenges facing the markets. The 15th Annual Condensate & Naphtha Forum organized by The Conference Connection Inc, and hosted by Tasweeq was successfully held in Doha, Qatar on March 7-8, 2011. 
The 2011 event has proved that Condensate & Naphtha Forum continues to be a key event in the industry’s calendar of events, given the diverse geographic attendance and wide cross-section of industries represented. Condensate 2011 brought all key decision makers and senior executives in the Condensate & Naphtha with over 72 key organizations from nearly 20 countries worldwide. 
 
  The opening session for Condensate 2011 on Monday, March 7 had a stellar cast of His Excellency Dr Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry, State of Qatar, who opened the conference and confirmed that Qatar’s condensate production which is increasing rapidly will reach 780,000 barrels per day by 2015 and will further consolidate its position as the world’s largest condensate producer. The opening session was co-chaired by Mr. Saad Al Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Tasweeq and Dr Fereidun Fesharaki, Chairman of FACTS Global Energy.
 
Condensate 2011 Highlights:
  • Nearly 200 delegates from about 20 countries worldwide, attended the 15th Annual Condensate & Naphtha Forum. Qatar & the Middle East drew about 60% of the attendance, Asia drew about 30% with a strong showing from Singapore & Japan at 18%, and Europe, USA & others drew about 10% of attendance.
  • The theme of the conference was Condensate & Naphtha Markets: Supply/Demand, Pricing & Utilization Outlook was covered by a select group of 18 experts from Middle East, Japan, Korea, Singapore, USA and UK.
  • Keynote Addresses were delivered by Mr. Saad Al Kuwari, CEO of Tasweeq on “Qatar Condensate & Naphtha Export Opportunities”, by Mr. Andy Brown, EVP, MD Pearl GTL of Qatar Shell on “Pearl GTL: A Major New Source of Condensate and GTL”, and by Mr. Keizo Torii, Managing Executive Officer, COO of Marubeni Corporation on “Role of Trading House in Providing Supplies of Naphtha/Condensate to Japan/Asian Countries”
  • The strongest reasons cited by participants for attending the conference were the comprehensive coverage of the Supply/Demand and Pricing in Condensate & Naphtha Markets, high quality presentations and premium networking opportunities.
  • Condensate 2011 is officially hosted by Tasweeq. Sponsors supporting the 2011 event included Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas Operating Company Ltd, RasGas Company Limited, and ORYX GTL. These companies provided the conference with a strong delegate base of senior executives and synergistic client relationships.
  • Social and educational activities were held alongside the Condensate Forum, namely the Tasweeq Golf Challenge and Ras Laffan Site Visit. The Golf Challenge was held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Doha Golf Club with about 50 players and over 40 delegates visited Ras Laffan Industrial City Site, which is the world’s largest single non-associated gas field with approximately 900 trillion cubic feet of proven reserves.

Condensate Forum Golf Day
6 March 2011

The Condensate & Naphtha 2011 Golf Day will be held at the Doha Golf Club on the afternoon of 6 March 2011. The Golf Day to be hosted by Tasweeq, is a nine-hole executive golf game, limited to 36 players and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis exclusively for participants of the Forum. Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), run and administered by RasLaffan City (RLC), a directorate of Qatar Petroleum (QP), is a multipurpose, multidimensional industrial city, situated along the north east coast of Qatar. It is located about 80 kilometres from Qatar’s North Field, which is the world’s largest single non-associated gas field with approximately 900 trillion cubic feet of proven reserves.
