Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi has a Doctorate degree in Public Administration from U.S.A. He has had a distinguished career in Government of the United Arab Emirates as a Diplomat. Starting as Second Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi in 1984, Dr Al Kindi was transferred to the permanent mission of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations, New York serving from 1986-1995. As a member of the U.A.E. Mission, he represented the United Arab Emirates at the United Nations Security Council from 1986-1987 and the U.N. General Assembly during his post. He had attended many international conferences.

Dr. Al Kindi had also served as Rapporteur of the Fourth Committee at the 45th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in 1988, Vice Chairman of the Fourth Committee at the 46th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in 1989.

After he completed his tour of duty at the U.A.E. Mission, he was appointed Charge d’Affairs of the U.A.E. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia from 1995-1997.

Dr. Al Kindi has served as Director of Ruler’s Office, Government of Fujairah, U.A.E. from 1997-2006. At this period he was also the Member of G.C.C. Consultative Committee (Parliament). He also served in the United Arab Emirates Federal Government’s Cabinet as a Minister for Environment & Water.

Capt. Mousa Morad is a Master Mariner, with more than 38 years’ experience in marine related activities and management. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Port Operations Management from Humberside College of Higher Technology, England, UK.

Capt Mousa joined the Port of Fujairah as Assistant Harbour Master in 1981 and was appointed General Manager in 1995. During his tenure the Port of Fujairah, capitalizing on its strategic position outside the Straits of Hormuz, has undergone significant development both in berths and facilities and the range of its commercial activity.

A major part of the Port’s commercial portfolio is oil related. Capt. Mousa is also a Development Committee Member of Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), which oversees Tank Storage Development in the Emirate, and is chaired by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, a Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE, and Ruler of Fujairah.

The Fujairah Anchorage is internationally recognized as a major marine logistics location and Fujairah ranks with Singapore and Rotterdam in the world’s top 3 bunkering locations.

Additionally, the introduction of new and extensive on-shore storage in the Emirate, a crude oil pipe line from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah became operational in 2012, and the development of further berths and the introduction of sea terminals mark still further expansion and growth.
Fujairah is a major and pivotal location and, under Captain Mousa Morad’s leadership, will be at the forefront of the challenges and changes the Marine related oil industry will face in the years ahead.

After a career in the Merchant Navy for a period of 9 years, and a period ashore in Flag State and Port State Control at the National Transport Authority, Captain Mayed Alameiry joined Port of Fujairah as a marine pilot in 2012.

In 2013, he took up the post of Assistant Harbour Master, culminating in the position of Deputy Harbour Master in December 2014. He is responsible for marine operations, including pilotage and towage planning and performance management. During his time at Fujairah, he obtained a MSc in Ship and Shipping Management.

He serves as a member of the local emergency team of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority.

Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki

Founder & Chairman, FGE

Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki is the Founder and Chairman of FGE. His work is well-recognized worldwide for pioneering oil and gas market analysis and studies of the Asia Pacific/Middle East energy markets since the early 1980s.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Surrey in England and then completed a Visiting Fellowship at Harvard University’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He joined the East-West Center in 1979 and led the energy program as a Director and Senior Fellow till 2013.

In 1989, Dr. Fesharaki was elected a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. Since 1991, a member of the International Advisory Board of ENEOS Holdings (and its predecessor companies). He was the 1993 President of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE).

In 1995, he was elected a Senior Fellow of the US Association for Energy Economics for distinguished services in the field of energy economics. In 2002, appointed a Senior Associate of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He received the Outstanding Contributions to the IAEE Award in 2012. He was a member of the Advisory Board of VOPAK LNG from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, appointed as Honorary Advisor by CNPC Research Institute of Economics and Technologies in Beijing. Dr. Fesharaki is the recipient of the 2016 Adelman-Frankel Award from the US Association for Energy Economics (USAEE) for his unique and innovative contribution to the field of energy economics. In March 2017, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) appointed him as a Director of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange Limited (DME). Since 2009, he has been a member of the DME Board of Directors. Dr. Fesharaki has been appointed to the National Petroleum Council beginning in 2008 and re-appointed by the subsequent US Secretaries of Energy ever since.

Mike Muller joined Vitol in London in 2018 and is now Head of Vitol in Asia, based in Singapore. Prior to this he spent 29 years at Shell where he was a member of the Global Trading & Supply Leadership team from 1999. In his last 5 years at Shell Mike led their global Crude Trading and Supply business. In the 1990s Mike was Trading and Supply Manager for Shell Australia and subsequent to this he spent six years in various business development and supply/trading coordination roles in Singapore. Mike graduated from Cambridge University in 1988.

Mr. Roel Hoenders

Mr. Roel Hoenders is currently acting as Head of the Air Pollution and Energy Efficiency team in the Marine Environment Division of the IMO Secretariat. He is responsible for IMO’s regulatory agenda on the reduction of atmospheric pollution from ships in line with MARPOL Annex VI and the implementation of IMO’s Initial Strategy on reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from ships.

Roel holds a law degree, with specializations in international environmental and maritime law, complemented by postgraduate studies in environmental sciences and business sustainability.

Prior to joining the IMO Secretariat, Mr. Hoenders worked as legal expert and policy officer on defining EU clean air and renewable energy policies in the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission and on promoting sustainable shipping in the environment department of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA). In earlier functions at the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO) and DHL Netherlands he advised on corporate climate and sustainability strategies

Dave Ernsberger is Platts' Global Head of Commodities Pricing and Market Insight. Based in London since 2010, he is responsible for managing Platts' worldwide coverage of all commodities markets, news and analytics.

Dave has served in a variety of roles at Platts, including Head of Oil Content, where he managed Platts’ global coverage of oil markets, news and analytics between 2010 and 2016. Before that, Dave was Senior Editorial Director for Asia, managing Platts' editorial and analytical groups in Singapore, Japan, Australia, the Philippines, and China from 2004 until 2009.

Dave joined Platts in 1996 as a metals reporter, and, in 1999, Dave took on responsibility for Platts' new European power start-up ventures as editor-in-chief, launching coverage of the deregulating electricity and natural gas markets in the European Union. He relocated to Houston in 2001 as bureau chief, before moving to Singapore in November 2003.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, U.S., Dave has a bachelor's degree in philosophy and politics from Warwick University, England, and a master's degree in international relations from Southampton University, England.

Ms. Katharina Stanzel

Katharina Stanzel has served as Managing Director of INTERTANKO since 2012. The fifth MD in the Association’s long history, she brings an environmental background to the position. She holds postgraduate qualifications in coastal management and business administration from universities in Germany, the UK and Australia.

A marine biologist by training, she entered the world of shipping in the 1990s. Focussing on marine pollution from ships, she spent ten years as technical advisor for the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation before joining the IOPC Funds, a UN body tasked with administering several crucial compensation conventions for oil pollution from tankers.

She is a Member of the American Bureau of Shipping and sits on the Marine and European Advisory Committees for Lloyd’s Register and RINA respectively. She also served as non-executive director on the Board of SeaAlarm, a Belgian foundation that brings together NGOs, government agencies and industry to enhance oiled wildlife response.

She was honoured to be named WISTA International Personality of the Year 2012 by the Women in Shipping Trade Association.

Mr. Siavash Alishahpour

Mr. Siavash Alishahpour is a Chemical Engineering graduate with major in Refining Engineering. He has over 30 years’ experience in both Refining and Oil Terminal businesses, and was appointed as Managing Director and Board member of VTTI Fujairah Terminal Ltd in October of 2011.

Mr. Alishahpour Joined the Vitol / VTTI Group in May 2007 after the acquisition of the Fujairah Refinery Company Limited by the group where he was appointed as the General Manager of the VTTI Fujairah Terminal. He is also Managing Vitol’s Fujairah Refining Limited (FRL) Fzc, an 80,000 BPD Refining facility.

Since joining Vitol / VTTI in 2007 Mr. Alishahpour has held several leadership positions and served as board and steering committee member of several businesses and projects . Prior to joining Vitol / VTTI, Mr. Alishahpour worked for the Fujairah Refinery Company Limited in Fujairah and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

Anders Onarheim's extensive knowledge in management, business development and capital markets was acquired when he was Managing Director in companies within Carnegie Group for over 16 years, prior to joining BW LPG in 2020.

Prior to Carnegie, Mr Onarheim served as the Head of Equities of Enskilda Securities Norway from 1994 to 1996. From 1990 to 1994, he served as an Executive Director in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs in the UK. From 1986 to 1990, he was Vice President for institutional sales in Merrill Lynch in the US and the UK. Mr Onarheim has held numerous board memberships within different industries, and is currently Chairman of North Energy ASA and Vice Chairman of Reach Subsea ASA. He served on the BW LPG Board from 21 November 2013 to 20 May 2020.

He holds an MBA from the Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated in 1986.

Dr. Jeff Brown

President, FGE

Dr Jeff Brown, as President, leads FGE’s oil and gas consulting teams. He works closely with FGE consultants in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Jeff re-joined FGE from JP Morgan where he was Executive Director, Global Commodities Research/Strategy, working closely with clients globally. He was a regularly featured speaker at JP Morgan events and published widely on energy markets. Aside from his previous management roles with FGE, Jeff also served as Senior Oil Analyst at the International Energy Agency in Paris, where he was co-author of the monthly Oil Market Report. During this time, he developed the IEA’s short- to mid-term oil demand forecasting framework and led research examining oil/gas interfuel substitution. Before the IEA, he was a Research Fellow at the East-West Center in Honolulu where his primary emphasis was LNG Markets East of Suez. Jeff has a Ph.D. in Economics.

Mr. Andrew Laven

Andy has worked in the oil industry for over 30 years and is the Chief Operating Officer for the Sahara Group with a particular focus on the Africa market and the expansion of their business in the Middle East. The Sahara Group is a leading international energy and infrastructure conglomerate with operations in over 38 countries across Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia and is celebrated their 25th Anniversary in 2021.

Based in Dubai since early 2006 initially as the Vice President for BP’s Integrated Supply & Trading business in the Middle East, Andy then joined Bomin in 2015 as their Managing Director overseeing supply and bunker sales across the region.

Andy has been involved across the business from upstream technical roles in Papua New Guinea, the North Sea, South Africa and Venezuela to commercial roles in Aberdeen and London. In 2004 Andy moved back to London as a Crude Trading Manager for BP in Integrated Supply and Trading covering Europe, Africa and Russia. He held this position for two years, with key responsibilities for many of the activities related to trading of equity and non-equity crude as well as crude supply to BP’s European refineries, until relocating to Dubai.

Mr. Neill Stuart Robertson-Jones

Neill joined National Bank of Fujairah as the Head of Energy and Marine in March 2019. In this role, he was responsible for spearheading the Energy and Marine business segments within the Bank and working alongside teams to drive this department forward.

In 2020, Neill was appointed as the Head of Corporate Banking overseeing business segments under Government and Large Corporates, Contracting, Energy and Marine.

Over the past 16 years, Neill has built a career as the Head of Corporate Banking operating across multiple pre-eminent banks in the Middle East. During his roles, he was responsible for leading diverse corporate teams and support functions of more than 30 staff, with complex multinational requirements.

Neill enjoys a long and diverse track record of expertise in the banking sector, as he has worked with strong players in the banking space such as Qatar National Bank, National Bank of Kuwait, Arab Bank Plc and Bank of Scotland.

Dennis has been through the various aspects of the bunkering business for over 20 years with an emphasis on price risk management, physical supply management and client interfacing. He is also a past Honorary Treasurer of IBIA Asia branch and a member of Working Group in the Bunker Technical Committee.

Captain Mohamed Al Ali is the Senior Vice President Ship Management at ADNOC Logistics and Services (L&S) since 2018. In his current role at ADNOC L&S, he oversees the Technical and Crew Management of ADNOC L&S’ fleet, including LNG and LPG carriers, Tankers, Dry Bulk carriers, Container Feeders, Offshore and Marine Service vessels.

Captain Al Ali has over 20 years of successful experience in oil and gas and shipping. He started his career as a deck cadet with National Gas Shipping Company Ltd (NGSCO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ADNOC in 1996, and rose to become the first UAE National Master on an LNG carrier in 2008. While there, he also spearheaded a number of joint energy efficiency and optimization projects between Abu Dhabi National Tanker Company (ADNATCO) and NGSCO, achieving Energy Management Standard ISO 50001 and Asset Management Standard 55001.

Captain Al Ali and his team are the recipients of several local and international Maritime Awards such as ADNOC HSE, Dubai Sustainability, Maritime Standard and Sea Trade awards.

Captain Al Ali holds an Executive Master Degree in Business Administration from Zayed University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Business and Management from John Moores University in Liverpool, UK.

Unni Einemo joined the IBIA secretariat in April 2016 as its IMO Representative, Media and Communications Manager following a period of two years as a non-Executive board director. She was promoted to Director in September 2018 and now has global responsibility for running the Association.

Prior to joining IBIA, she worked for two decades as a journalist and analyst specialising in the marine fuel and shipping industries. She was a key member of the team that built up the highly regarded Bunkerworld and Sustainable Shipping news services, working as Managing Editor for these publications at Petromedia, and later Platts, which acquired Petromedia in July 2015. In 2014, she became the first ever journalist to be elected to the board of IBIA, where she contributed to the Association’s activities, including writing IMO proposals on fuel-related matters.

Through years of writing and participation in industry conferences and IMO meetings, Unni has gained expert knowledge. She was named among the “Top 10 in regulation” in 2018 and as one of “Ten women influencing shipping” in 2019 by the Lloyd’s List annual most influential people in shipping series.

Dr. Vivek Chandra

Dr. Vivek Chandra is the founder and shareholder of Texas LNG, a 4 MTA US LNG export project under development in South Texas, USA. The Texas LNG project has received its key regulatory permits, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approval and Department of Energy export authorizations. Texas LNG is aiming to complete its remaining pre-FID engineering and to begin construction 2022. First LNG production will be in 2026. Texas LNG’s key attributes are its flexible low-cost commercial model, access to low-cost plentiful Permian basin gas, green LNG production with minimal plant emissions, and its realistic size ideally suited for emerging and established markets.

Dr. Vivek Chandra is also developing large scale LNG export projects in North America and small-scale solutions in Southeast Asia and Middle East.

Dr. Vivek Chandra is the author of Fundamentals of Natural Gas: An International Perspective, a bestselling hardcover book published by Pennwell / Endeavor, publishers of Oil and Gas Journal.

Dr. Vivek Chandra has taught the popular “Natural Gas Dynamics” executive course, a three day course held over 25 times in 15 countries. He has also developed mobile apps for the natural gas industry downloaded over 5000 times and is a frequent speaker at LNG and gas conferences worldwide and regularly quoted in the media.

Dr.Chandra’s extensive 30+ years international gas experience includes roles as independent LNG consultant, senior commercial executive with an Australian energy company, development of gas projects in the Middle East, and diverse experiences with ARCO in the United States, including Alaska, and offshore field engineering with Schlumberger in SE Asia, Middle East and US. He has recently completed his PhD. in International Law with dissertation on the UN Convention of the Law of the Sea and disputed maritime boundaries with oil and gas potential.

Mr. Saunak Rai

Mr. Saunak Rai is heading “FueLNG”, a venture of Shell and Keppel, a LNG bunkering company providing LNG as fuel to marine and industrial customers through ship to ship and truck to ship operations. FueLNG has successfully completed more than 300 LNG bunkering operations in Singapore. He is also serving as the Deputy Chairman of National Technical Committee on LNG bunkering.

Mr. Saunak Rai graduated with President’s Gold Medal in Nautical Science from Mumbai University, and has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. During his MBA Mr. Rai, worked on Integrated Strategy Project on “LNG Bunkering”. Mr. Saunak Rai is a licensed Master Mariner and has extensive experience working on LNG vessels, Tankers, Bulk Carriers and Container vessels. He is also a certified Chartered Ship Broker and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, UK

After completing his sea career, he joined shore office of Maersk LNG in Copenhagen, where he was managing the commercial operations of Maersk’s LNG fleet. Thereafter, he worked in Norgas Carriers as Vice President LNG Business Development and as one of the Board of Directors of Norgas Carriers, creating innovative LNG logistics solutions for customers of Small-Scale LNG.

Over the past 25 years, Mr. Chatterton has worked at the executive level across the energy, shipping, transportation, renewables and chemical sectors, where he has been responsible for creating strategy, fundraising, restructuring, crisis management and operations for both startups and multinationals.

Prior to joining MI in 2015 as COO, Mr. Chatterton was Director of Oil & Gas for a vertically integrated, leading Eastern European family office with an annual turnover of USD 5 bln and core interests in fertilizer & chemical production. Mr. Alok Sharma

Trained in Environmental Engineering with a Masters’ Degree in International Business, he worked with DNV Petroleum Services from 1994 to 1999, marketing fuel testing and bunker services to the Japanese, Korean and South East Asian Market; he founded Marine Fuel Consultants International Pte Ltd in the year 2000 with partners, providing services of fuel quality management and claims handling; in 2002, he joined Miyabi Industries Pte Ltd as Vice-President and its Principal Consultant. The company is an Engineering and Consultancy firm specializing in fuel, lubricants, risk assessments, loss control and claims recovery to the bunkering and shipping community. He was also the program leader and course lecturer for the largely successful Bunkering Disputes courses since 2002 (3 separate editions) with more than 600 participants to date, as well several other titles including Bunker Operations, Ship Safety, Pollution & Low Sulphur Usage, Understanding Bunker Measurement and Practical Approaches to Managing 2020 Bunker Fuels.

William is well known within the bunkering industry from Europe, to Middle East, to Asia. His expertise is much sought after by the industry as an expert witness, technical consultant, mediator and arbitrator on bunker dispute cases.

Capt. Mayed Alameiry

After a career in the Merchant Navy for a period of 9 years, and a period ashore in Flag State and Port State Control at the National Transport Authority, Captain Mayed Alameiry joined Port of Fujairah as a marine pilot in 2012.

In 2013, he took up the post of Assistant Harbour Master, culminating in the position of Deputy Harbour Master in December 2014. He is responsible for marine operations, including pilotage and towage planning and performance management. During his time at Fujairah, he obtained a MSc in Ship and Shipping Management.

He serves as a member of the local emergency team of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority.

Mr. Malek Azizeh

Mamdouh Malek Azizeh earned his MBA from Southampton Solent University, U.K., with a special focus on the development of oil & gas midstream and downstream projects. His career in the Oil & Gas industry includes roles with the Fujairah Refinery, as well as, his previous role at the Dutch oil storage major Royal Vopak where he worked as a Senior Regional Development Manager for the Middle East and North & East Africa. The aforementioned roles have provided Mr. Azizeh with extensive experience in the global hydrocarbon storage industry. In 2014, he was appointed as the Commercial Director of Fujairah’s most prominent and first independent third-party crude oil terminal, known as Fujairah Oil Terminal FZC (FOT) which is a JV between the Chinese oil major “Sinopec Kantons”, Australian based Infrastructure Fund “Prostar Capital” and the Government of Fujairah. Mr. Azizeh’s record of latest project achievements include his integral role in the latest acquisition of Prostar Capital’s majority stake of Socar Aurora Terminal (SAFT FZC) that has been renamed after the takeover as Global Terminal Investment Fujairah (GTIF). Global Terminal Investment is the oil and gas storage terminals arm of Prostar Capital.

Currently, Mr. Azizeh is occupied with the expansion of FOT’s footprint in the crude storage domain in Fujairah to benefit from the VLCC jetty infrastructure installed by the Port Authority and the additional strategic crude storage capacity that is currently being developed by ADNOC over the next couple of years.

Colin Holloway has over 30 years’ professional working experience with both the Oil and Maritime Industry. He began his career in the oil business working as a Chemist at the Coryton oil refinery, UK.
