Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki is the Founder and Chairman of FGE. His work is well-recognized worldwide for pioneering oil and gas market analysis and studies of the Asia Pacific/Middle East energy markets since the early 1980s.
He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Surrey in England and then completed a Visiting Fellowship at Harvard University’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He joined the East-West Center in 1979 where he led the energy program as a Director and Senior Fellow till 2013.
In 1989, Dr. Fesharaki was elected a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. Since 1991, a member of the International Advisory Board of JX Holdings (and its predecessor companies). He was the 1993 President of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE).
In 1995, he was elected a Senior Fellow of the US Association for Energy Economics for distinguished services in the field of energy economics. In 2002, appointed a Senior Associate of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He received the Outstanding Contributions to the IAEE Award in 2012. He was a member of the Advisory Board of VOPAK LNG from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, he was appointed as Honorary Advisor by CNPC Research Institute of Economics and Technologies in Beijing. Dr. Fesharaki is the recipient of the 2016 Adelman-Frankel Award from the US Association for
Energy Economics (USAEE) for his unique and innovative contribution to the field of energy economics. In March 2017, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) appointed him as a Director of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange Limited (DME). Since 2009, he has been a member of the DME Board of Directors. Dr.
Fesharaki has been appointed to the National Petroleum Council beginning in 2008 and most recently re-appointed by the US Secretary of Energy, Dan Brouillette in April 2020.

Shasha Fesharaki holds an MBA with an emphasis on International Business. He specializes in LNG marketing, and is responsible for providing buyers and sellers with sourcing and placement strategies for LNG and overseas gas consulting activities at FGE.
In addition, he specializes in the Korean market and LNG pricing. Shasha has spoken at a number of natural gas conferences as well as authored numerous reports and studies with respect to the Asia-Pacific LNG market. He also focuses on business development, specifically looking at new growth opportunities for FGE.

Dr. Jeff Brown, as President, leads FGE’s research and consulting efforts globally across oil, gas and NGLs. He oversees consultants based in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

During this time, he developed the IEA’s short- to mid-term oil demand forecasting framework and led research examining oil/gas interfuel substitution. Steve is the Executive Vice President of Shell Energy, a leading energy marketing and trading organization responsible for Shell’s global equity LNG, gas, power and environmental products portfolio. Shell Energy also drives market development and gas advocacy efforts to build global demand for LNG and gas. Steve is a member of Shell’s Integrated Gas and Trading & Supply Leadership Teams.
Prior to the Shell purchase of BG Group, Steve was a member of BG Group’s Corporate Executive Team with responsibility for BG’s global LNG, natural gas and crude oil marketing and trading activities, and BG’s shipping business. Steve was involved in building and optimizing BG’s LNG business since joining the company in 2002 in roles in the UK, USA and Singapore.
Before joining BG Group, Steve worked for Mobil and subsequently ExxonMobil, in business development and trading roles in the UK, USA, Singapore, and Qatar.
Steve graduated from Durham University in the UK with a degree in Engineering and Management.

Jun Nishizawa is Executive Vice President and CEO of Natural Gas Group since the appointment in 2019. He is responsible for all the natural gas and LNG businesses of Mitsubishi worldwide, and is taking a leading role within the organization in promoting the energy transformation of Mitsubishi, one of its key corporate agenda.
Jun started his career in Mitsubishi from 1986 as oil trader and has taken the journey in LNG front since 1991. He had played a pivotal role in various LNG projects and had set the foundation for number of new projects that stand at the core of Mitsubishi LNG portfolio today including Indonesia, US and Canada. He also holds positions in Advisory Committee for Natural Resources and Energy under METI and Councilor for The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan.
Jun has a bachelor degree in law, Aoyama Gakuin University and is a graduate of Harvard AMP.
Executive Officer, Senior General Manager, LNG Business Department, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd
Joined Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. in 1990. He has been Executive Officer, Senior General Manager of LNG business Department, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. as well as President of Tokyo LNG Tanker Co., Ltd. since April 2020. And he was also appointed as President of TG Global Trading Co., Ltd. established in September 2020.
He has extensive work experiences in sales and service to commercial customers, including serving as Chief Representative of Asia Pacific Regional Office at Kuala Lumpur and as an invited researcher of Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Keio University in 1990.

Mrs Fatema Al Nuaimi is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC LNG.
Mrs Al Nuaimi started her career within ADNOC Group for the past 20 years. She was the Senior Vice President for the Supply Chain Management in Borough Pte. She developed a robust program to further improve planning efficiencies in Borough and reduce logistics and distribution cost of the company’s products across the region. She was also responsible for managing and planning the feedstock to Borough Plants and managing the supply of different grades of petrochemical products to the receiving hubs both by sea and on land.
Mrs Al Nuaimi has held the position of Gas Strategy and Master Planning Unit Manager in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). In this position she was responsible for providing strategic insight across ADNOC’s gas resources with a focus on maximizing value and profitability, ensuring supply sustainability, and meeting future domestic demand through a holistic gas master plan. She oversaw implementation of the plan across ADNOC Gas Processing, ADNOC LNG and ADNOC Sour Gas.
Mrs Al Nuaimi was also the Division Manager for the External Affairs Division; worked in exploration and production planning as a Team Leader and as Head of Research for ADNOC LNG.
Mrs Al Nuaimi is a lead member of the Abu Dhabi-Japan Economic Council Energy and Industry Working Group. She is also a member of the International Association for Energy Economics. She is also the Chairwoman of ADNOC Gender Balance Committee.
Mrs Al Nuaimi holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the UAE University and an MBA from the American University in Dubai.
Vice President, Global LNG Marketing, ExxonMobil
Andrew Barry was named Vice President – Global LNG Marketing and Chairman – ExxonMobil LNG
Market Development ExxonMobil Oil & Gas Company 1st April 2021 and is based in Singapore.
Mr. Barry has almost 30 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry and was most recently Managing Director of ExxonMobil PNG Limited and Lead Country Manager for ExxonMobil in Papua New Guinea leading the PNG LNG project joint venture along with expansion, exploration and downstream marketing activities across the country.
Prior to PNG, Mr. Barry was President of ExxonMobil Canada, based in St John’s, Newfoundland. In this capacity he was responsible for ExxonMobil’s production, development and exploration activities across Canada, including the operated assets of Hibernia, Sable and the then under construction Hebron project.
Mr. Barry was awarded a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree, with First Class Honors in 1992 from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. In 1993 he joined Esso Australia Pty Ltd as a Production Engineer and held several Engineering, Operational and Planning positions associated with oil and gas production from Bass Strait, Australia. In 2002 he was awarded a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne.
In 2002 Mr. Barry transferred to Dallas, Texas where he held the positions of Global Energy Advisor and Upstream Strategy Advisor for ExxonMobil Corporation. In 2005 he moved to Doha, Qatar in the
Middle East during which time he held the position of LNG Marketing Manager being later promoted to Vice President of LNG Sales for ExxonMobil Qatar Inc.
In 2010 Mr. Barry moved to Houston, Texas and held the position of Operations Manager for a number of onshore and offshore areas including the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Colorado and Alabama before moving to Canada in 2012 to assume the role of President ExxonMobil Canada.
Mr Barry is married and has three children.

Mr Ngiam Shih Chun is the Chief Executive of the Energy Market Authority, which ensures a reliable and secure energy supply, promotes effective competition in the energy market, and develops a dynamic energy sector in Singapore.
Mr Ngiam was formerly the Deputy Secretary (Industry) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry from 2012 to 2018 where he helped shape Singapore’s industrial and economic policies. In 2016, he co-led the Secretariat for the Committee on the Future Economy to develop key strategies to generate economic growth and create good jobs for Singaporeans.
He has held various appointments in the Emeritus Senior Minister's Office, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Home Affairs. Mr Ngiam is currently a board member of the Energy Market Authority, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and St Andrew’s Community Services.

Akira Kono is Senior Managing Executive Officer of NYK Line. He joined the company in 1984. He worked at the Liner Division, the Car Carrier Division, and the Corporate Planning Division, before transferring to the Liquid Division (currently Energy Division) in 2006. From this time, he was involved in the energy transportation business, such as the LNG business.
Currently he is the Chairman of Tramp Shipping Strategy Committee, Chief Executive of Energy Division and oversees Dry Bulk Division, Energy Co-ordination Group, Tanker Group, LNG Group, Offshore Business Group, Fuel Group and Green Business Group, in charge of Middle-East Region.
He became Managing Director, NYK LNG (Atlantic) Ltd. (currently known as NYK Energy Transport (Atlantic) Ltd.) in 2009, Senior General Manager, LNG Group in 2012, Corporate Officer in 2015,Managing Corporate Officer in 2017, Senior Managing Corporate Officer in 2020 April and Senior Managing Executive Officer in 2020 June.

Mr Sonk is the Managing Director of Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (Kumul Petroleum), formerly National Petroleum Company PNG Holdings Limited.
Since his appointment as the Managing Director of NPCP in January 2013 and transitioning through to Kumul Petroleum, Mr Sonk has been the driving force behind building the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Ltd (formerly NPCP), where the highlight has been the successful legislative reforms that has led to the birth of Kumul Petroleum as Papua New Guinea’s National Oil and Gas Corporation. The legislation now gives the NOC a strong foundation to grow and move forward.
Mr Sonk has over two decades of experience as a Papua New Guinean leader in the oil & gas industry. His career matured with the industry itself maturing from being an oil exporting country to now LNG exporter.
He has occupied numerous leadership roles in the Petroleum Industry of PNG since beginning his career with Chevron Nuigini Pty Ltd in 1997. These roles include Director – PNG LNG Project at IPBC, Chairperson of Society of Petroleum Engineers (PNG Section) (2011), Technical Manager at NPCP (Kroton), Drilling & Completions Engineer at Oil Search Head Office, Sydney, Drilling Rig Operations Supervisor, Field Coordinator - PNG to QLD Gas Pipeline Project FEED Team (2005) and Petroleum Engineer for Chevron.
Mr Sonk continues to be a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (Worldwide), and Institute of Engineers PNG.

Peter Abdo has over 25 years of global commodity experience working in Europe, Asia and the United States. Mr. Abdo is Chief Commercial Officer & Global Head of Origination of LNG for Uniper Global Commodities. Mr. Abdo is in charge of a global portfolio spanning LNG Trading, Origination & Shipping, Gas Supply, and Multi-commodity Power PPA’s Mr. Abdo has further responsibility for Uniper’s regional offices in Singapore and Dubai, including the IMO compliant ULSFO refinery based in Fujairah.
Prior to Uniper Global Commodities, Mr. Abdo worked for 10 years at Merrill Lynch Commodities, London as Senior Managing Director in charge of Coal, LNG and power origination. Mr. Abdo began his commodity career at Cargill, where he helped to establish the commodity origination business in the Americas and charged with setting up its Asian operation in Singapore. Mr. Abdo and his family relocated to London in 1999, and he has since worked for Enron Europe, Sempra Commodities and Bank of America Merrill Lynch Commodities.

Head of LNG Origination & Market Development, Shell LNG Marketing & Trading, UK
Mehdi Chennoufi is the Head of LNG Origination & Market Development based in London. He is responsible for developing Shell’s global LNG term portfolio.
He started his career with KPMG in the early nineties where he got acquainted with the rigour of economic analysis and the art of interpreting accounts. He then joined Shell in London at the turn of the century and focused on gas and LNG business development in Levant before moving to Egypt to grow Shell’s CNG and LDC footprint. In 2004 he was appointed as the Shell shareholder representative in Oman LNG, based out of the Dubai office and in 2008 he moved to the LNG Supply and Trading business looking after Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
In 2010, Mehdi was appointed General Manager LNG Origination and Business Development for the West Region covering the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, Africa and South America and in 2016 he moved to Singapore to lead the East of Suez portfolio. In 2021, Mehdi moved to London to lead the global LNG Origination and Market Development team.
Mehdi holds a Masters in Economics and a Master in Business Administration from ISG in Paris and the University of Oxford. Besides being an avid sailor, he is passionate about biodiversity conservation and founded Wanakaset.org.
Vice President LNG Marketing and Trading, Petronas
Shamsairi M Ibrahim is the Vice President of LNG Marketing 6 Trading in PETRONAS. In this role, he oversees the marketing and trading of LNG in Asia, Europe and the Americas on top of energy commodities trading in the UK and Europe.
He started his career in PETRONAS in 1991 as a Marketing Executive in Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd. ("MLNG) and was transferred to Malaysian International Trading Corporation (Japan) Sdn. Bhd. ("MITCO) in 1999. He returned to MLNG in 2004, where he held multiple positions including roles in marketing and operations in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan markets.
In 2008. Shamsairi ventured in chemical business after seconded to Optimal Group of Companies. His career within petrochemical business was further cemented as he led the Commercial - Olefins & Derivatives Department and later the Marketing and Sales Division for the PETRONAS Chemical Group.
In 2017, he was appointed as the CEO of PETRONAS Chemicals Marketing (Labuan) Ltd and the Head of Commercial for PETRONAS Chemical Group Berhad, responsible for the Group's overall commercial excellence Shamsairi also sits on several Boards within the PETRONAS Group of Companies.
He graduated with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from National College of Technology, Japan and obtained an Executive MBA from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RIMIT).

Matthew (Matt) Schatzman was appointed Chief Executive Officer of NextDecade Corporation (NASDAQ: NEXT) on February 1, 2018.
Mr. Schatzman was subsequently elected Chairman of the Board of Directors effective June 4, 2019. He joined the company as President and member of the Board of Directors on September 18, 2017. Mr. Schatzman has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, including as Executive Vice President Global Energy Marketing and Shipping and member of the Group Executive Committee at BG Group where he was responsible for the company’s global marketing, trading and shipping activities for LNG, crude oil and natural gas.
During his tenure at BG Group, Mr. Schatzman played a pivotal role in the success and growth of BG Group’s LNG business, transforming it into a global leader in flexible LNG supply and trading. Mr. Schatzman also held senior executive roles at Dynegy and started his career at Transco Pipeline, a subsidiary of Williams.
In addition to managing an international portfolio of LNG, shipping, and commodity trading positions, Mr. Schatzman’s expertise extends to hedging, risk management and process improvement across a diverse portfolio of development and operating assets.
Mr. Schatzman graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is a member of the National Petroleum Council.

Octávio Simões was named President and CEO of Tellurian Inc. on November 30, 2020.
Previously he was an EVP, LNG Marketing and Business Development and a member of the Executive Committee at Tellurian engaged in all aspects of the LNG industry.
Before he joined Tellurian, he was President and CEO of Sempra LNG & Midstream where he was responsible for all LNG and natural gas midstream activities, including the company's efforts at Cameron LNG, Energia Costa Azul LNG and Port Arthur LNG. Prior responsibilities include business development, acquisitions, engineering and construction, operations and asset management in power generation, as well as financial and strategic planning.
Simões has degrees in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Massachusetts. Simões is a native of Lisbon, Portugal.
President & Chief Operating Officer, Diamond Gas International Pte Ltd
Gen Kunihiro is President and COO of Diamond Gas International (DGI), a wholly-owned LNG marketing, trading and shipping subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. DGI handles Mitsubishi’s global LNG portfolio, and works in close collaboration with Mitsubishi Corporation’s global network to deliver integrated solutions across the entire gas value chain.
Gen has over twenty-years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Upon graduating from the Faculty of Law at Keio University he joined Mitsubishi Corporation and started his career on steel products export business. From early 2000’s his business focus shifted to oil and gas industry and worked on major LNG projects in Russia and Australia. In 2019, Gen was appointed General Manager of Global Marketing Department the of Mitsubishi’s Natural Gas Business Division and in March 2020 started his present role in Singapore.
Prior to assuming his role at DGI in Singapore, Gen’s postings included a stint in Jakarta (1998-2003) and Perth (2015-2018).
Vice President, Strategy and Communication, Cheniere Marketing Ltd, UK
Dr. Andrew Walker is the Vice President for LNG Strategy and Communication for Cheniere.
He is located in London and is responsible for the LNG Strategy and Market Outlook of Cheniere, reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer.
Until October 2015 he was Vice President for Global LNG - and prior to that Head of LNG Strategy - at BG Group where he worked for over 20 years before joining Cheniere.
During his career in LNG he has been located in Singapore, Egypt, the USA and UK and has worked on numerous LNG projects including Atlantic LNG in Trinidad and Tobago, Egyptian LNG, and Dragon LNG in the UK.
Dr. Walker has a Doctorate in Geology from Imperial College, University of London.

Sarah is an experienced energy leader with an exceptional global network. Her last role was the creation of the LNG desk for Jera Global Market. She was responsible for building the overall LNG desk structure including recruiting talent, leading the overall LNG growth strategy and oversight of trading, optimisation and risk management.
Prior to JERA GM, she led Shell’s LNG trading business in the west for 8 years. She led the integration of Repsol and BG’s LNG portfolio into Shell, growing Shell’s trading activities in the Middle East and Atlantic Basin.
Sarah has more than 20 years of experience in Oil and LNG trading and marketing and has served roles in the Kuwait, London, Dubai and Singapore. She is passionate about diversity in trading teams and leads the female community in LNG. She graduated with a degree of Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from the US and then obtained an MBA from London Business School.
Chief Commercial Officer, Mexico Pacific Limited
Sarah has over 18 years of industry experience, including unique end-to-end commercial LNG project development experience, having successfully marketed and delivered LNG projects from concept through to commercial operations. She was previously Head of LNG Marketing for the $18.5b Gladstone LNG Project, where she secured the long-term SPAs before building and running Gladstone LNG Project’s commercial LNG desk for close to a decade on behalf of project partners Santos, KOGAS, PETRONAS and Total.
Prior to Gladstone LNG, Sarah was an energy transactions and projects lawyer with Ashurst working on multibillion M&A transactions and project developments in the energy and resources space. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University. She has been widely recognized across the industry through the following nominations and awards: ExxonMobil Power Play 'Rainmaker Award' – Finalist, Managing Director's Award, Nominated by GLNG for Queensland’s Resources Awards for Women – Overall Award 2013, and Queensland Emergent Woman Lawyer of the Year Award – Finalist.
Chief Commercial Officer, Venture Global LNG
Tom Earl is the Chief Commercial Officer of VG LNG Marketing, LLC. Tom previously served as Vice President at the international oil company Total, focusing on the development of its global LNG business.
After graduating from City University in London with a degree in Engineering, Tom joined Total’s newly formed gas marketing and trading team in 1998. After various responsibilities within the trading division of the newly combined Total, Elf and Petrofina operations, he managed the natural gas option desk and gas trading desk. Tom successfully led significant commercial negotiations on long-term gas and LNG contracts in countries such as Russia, Norway and Qatar.
In 2006, Tom was appointed Head of Electricity Trading at Total where he led a significant expansion into newly opened power markets across Europe. In 2011, Tom moved to Houston, where he was appointed as head of Total’s North America commodity trading business, including its LNG, gas, power, coal, petcoke and LPG operations. Tom also represented Total in its US LNG liquefaction transactions from 2012 to 2015.
In 2015, Tom was appointed Vice President of Development for Total’s global LNG activities. Tom led Total’s most recent and highly regarded global expansion into new LNG markets. This work has included innovative new LNG terminal projects and new downstream asset transactions across the world.
Vice President Marketing Trading & Shipping, Woodside Energy
Mark was appointed in 2021 to Woodside’s Executive Committee as Vice President Marketing, Trading and Shipping. Mark has more than 19 years of commercial, marketing, trading, finance and M&A experience across roles based in Australia, Singapore, Japan and United Kingdom.
Mark has held a number of senior positions at Woodside, including Executive Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, and Vice President and Group Financial Controller. Prior experience includes roles at the Western Australian Department of Treasury and BHP Iron Ore.
Mark graduated from the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School in 2021. Mark also holds a Master of Philosophy in Finance from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Economics (1.Hons) and MBA from the University of Western Australia.

Sally Sun is regional vice president, marketing, origination & commercial development, for Sempra LNG. She is responsible for advancing the marketing and development efforts of Sempra LNG’s natural gas liquefaction projects. Sun will be based at Sempra LNG’s Singapore office.
Sun has more than 25 years of experience in the LNG and energy industry. Her previous roles include senior vice president at Summit Energy Holding, vice president of LNG marketing for Tellurian, Inc., head of trading and origination for Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore and director of commercial operations for BG’s LNG trading.
Sun holds a master’s in business administration from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture and ocean engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.
Principal Consultant & Head of Middle East Gas Team, FGE
Siamak specializes in the natural gas/LNG business, leading FGE’s short and long-term market analysis for Middle Eastern and North African gas markets. He has more than 15 years of extensive analytical experience in the Middle East oil and gas sector. At FGE, Siamak also covers long-term gas/LNG market analytics for West of Suez markets. He has a detailed knowledge of LATAM and European gas/LNG infrastructure.
Siamak is a specialist in energy modelling and long-term supply/demand forecasts. He has extensive knowledge of the LNG value chain, the Middle East gas/LNG upstream and downstream sectors, as well as pipeline gas/LNG sales and purchase agreements. He is an internationally recognized expert on the Middle East oil and gas sector. Siamak holds an MBA from Victoria University, Australia, and an M.A. in Energy Economics from Islamic Azad University in Iran.
