The Managing & Mitigating Risks for VLSFO & ULSMGO Supply & Usage virtual course will be held as 2-half-day sessions of 3 hours each

Strategies for Ensuring Fuel Reliability & Compliance

Efficient fuel management and safe fuel handling are critical and important to ensure fuel reliability & compliance under IMO’s 2020 sulphur regulations. While MGO remains the more commonly used ECA area compliant fuel, the use of Ultra Low Sulphur Marine Gasoils (ULSMGO) and Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oils (VLSFO) as compliant fuels in the ECA/non-ECA areas respectively, have been growing significantly..

This virtual training course focuses on managing VLSFO and ULSMGO, examining problems that vessels have encountered since late 2019 to-date, offering lessons to be learnt and the most practical mitigating measures for potential risks.

*MCF Training Grant is available for eligible participants. Please refer to for information.
